Michelle C. Mays (Principal and Co-founder)
Michelle has a passion for business and the community that extends from her professional affiliations to her volunteer work. She has worked as a coach for local youth and adult basketball leagues, and as a volunteer for the Jim Calhoun Classic charity events. She has also supported client relations for the CIAA Basketball Tournament in Charlotte, NC. Ms. Mays serves in various capacities at her church, is president of her local alumnae association and is also an active community volunteer in her hometown of West Haven, CT.
Ms. Mays holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Spelman College. She received her MBA in Sports Marketing and Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
Alycia M. Powell (Principal and Co-founder)
Alycia attended Fordham University, where she obtained her degree in Sociology with a minor in African and African American Studies. She went on to graduate from New York Law School, where she held leadership positions as the President of the Black Law Students Association, the Vice-Chair of the National Black Law Students Association, Northeast Region, the Co-Editor in Chief of the Black Law Students Association Legal Journal and the Co-Chair of the Public Interest Auction. Ms. Powell was the President and Founder of the Sports Law Society, and the Founder and Chair of the New York Law School Sports Law Symposium.
After graduating law school in 2011, Ms. Powell served as a legal and business consultant for entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses. She has worked in the fashion, aviation, business and tax law sectors, as well as in a family office.
